Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have nabbed a dispatch rider Francis Obey ,aged 26,and his friend, Emmanuel Abah, aged 21 ,on Christmas Day, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle belonging to their employer’s company.

It was learnt that the police had earlier received a distress call from a Lagos-based company that a dispatch rider with the firm, who was sent to convey a commodity to a customer had fled with the item and the motorcycle-headed towards Sagamu-Ore road with the stolen bike.

On receiving this report, police officers along that axis were duly mobilised to be on look out for the motorcycle.

“At about 12:30 am, policemen attached to Ogbere division sighted the motorcycle at J4 area with two occupants and they were promptly arrested.

“The two suspects are currently being detained at the station while the motorcycle had been recovered.” Disclosed the Ogun police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi.

However, the State Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has mandated the state CIID to investigate the issue for onward transfer to the Lagos State Police Command, which is the jurisdiction of the offense.
