Presiding over an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court,  Abdulraheem Bello,has remanded a Fulani herdsman, Manu Usman, for reportedly stabbing his colleague, Akilesho Attah, to death at Gwanara area of Kwara State.

Usman was prosecuted on a charge of culpable homicide contrary to section 221 of the Penal Code.

Insp. Zacheous Folorunsho,who is the prosecutor had disclosed to the court that the accused continually stabbed one Akilesho Attah with a knife in the neck while chasing him for grazing on his farm land thereby destroying his maize.

The prosecutor solicited the court to remand Usman on ground that the alleged offence is capital in essence.

However, Magistrate Abdulraheem Bello, upon denial to take the petition of the defendant, ordered his remand at Oke-Kura Correctional Service Centre in Ilorin, adjourning the case until Feb. 12 for further hearing.
