Operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have nabbed 22 offenders for organising a sex party in Dass, the headquarters of Dass Local Government Area of the state.
The development was made known by the state Commissioner of Police, Lawan Tanko Jimeta ,while parading the suspects on Wednesday at the state Police Command headquarters in Bauchi.
DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who is the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), disclosed Jimeta explained the detention of the suspects, who had formed a syndicate,and attained notoriety for “thuggery, phone snatching and indecent acts including sex parties”, was made after an intelligence report was collected from Dass by the command.
Upon obtaining the intelligence report, a team of detectives, led by the commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) was raised by the command.
The CP has however asserted willingness of the command with its sustained and relentless endeavors to battle every form of crime and lawlessness in the state.
Nevertheless,one of the suspects, Idris Abdullahi, aged 20, professed his innocence of the offence, saying that he did not have a hand in organising the sex party in Dass,but he was a repentant petty thief, and prior to his arrest, he only indulged in superficial thefts, while speaking with newsmen.
