Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have nabbed three fellows of Eiye confraternity for threatening to slaughter one Teslim Lateef, who declined to be initiated into their cult.

It was gathered that the suspects identified as,Olajide Shittu, Emmanuel Fidelis, and Sunkanmi Ifelodun were apprehended on Thursday coming after a report lodged at Ajuwon police station by Lateef.

The complaint told the police that the three suspects had been threatening to kill him for quite some time over his turndown to join the Eiye confraternity, adding that they had vowed to get rid of him to prevent being exposed.

According to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi on Saturday, the DPO of Ajuwon police division ,SP Andrew Akinseye, who had been monitoring the suspects led his men to their lair and got them arrested.

The Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has nevertheless ordered the case to be transferred to the state CIID.

Ajogun implored cultists in the state to repudiate their membership before the long arm of the law caught up with them.
