Man Charge Brother To Court Over Late Father’s Property

One Aliyu Yusuf, aged 38, has on Monday dragged his brother Ibrahim, before a Shari’a court in Rigasa, Kaduna State over their late father’s house.

It was disclosed to the court by Aliyu Yusuf that the house, which was their inheritance, had been shared according to Islamic rules with each person acquiring a portion of the building, but his brother always enters his side of the house to do his business when he already has his own part,thus he want the court to intervene and deter him from trespassing.

However, Ibrahim, who was represented by his counsel, Alhassan Aliyu, solicited the court to visit to the house, underlining that the plaintiff was not sincere.

Rulling, Judge Malam Salisu Abubakar-Tureta ordered that the house be visited by court officials on Feb. 15,  adjourning the matter until March 1 for mention.
