Early the next mornin, Janeth drove Chloe to the airport…
“I’m gonna miss you sis” Janeth said
“I’ll miss you too Jane” Chloe said hugging her
“What about me aunty? Won’t you miss me?” Carly asked
“I’ll miss you baby” she said carrying her
“Passengers of flight 334 please take your seat”
“That’s my flight. I gotta go”
They hugged again before going inside the plane.
She located her seat and sat down.
Her mind travelled far. She is going to start afresh in a strange land. Somewhere she never thought she would ever be.
How was she going to cope with no family, no friends.
“First time travelling by air?” someone
She ignored him…
“hi! I’m Derick and you are?”
“Not interested in talking to you will you just buzz off?” she said and turned away from him.
After a while she fell asleep…
“Hey miss. Miss wake up” Derick called
“Jeez! What is your problem? Don’t..
She was interrupted by the voice from the speaker..
“Please fasten your seat belts. We’re landing soon.”
“Oh? No thank you?” he asked
“Thank you for what?” Chloe asked
“Waking you up?”
“Oh please, if you didn’t, someone else would have. Besides, I know you’re just looking for a way to talk to me.”
Derick wanted to say something but Chloe wore her earphone blocking him off….
The plane landed and the passengers came down.
Chloe got her bags and proceeded to get a cab
“Miss, miss. Hello! (touching her).”
“I swear to God if you touch me again I’ll rip you apart.” she said glaring at him
“whhoooaa. I don’t mean to disturb you and…
“You are already. Stay away from me” she said walking away.
She soon spotted a white limo.
A man was standing beside it holding a placade that had the name ‘Vanessa Collins’ written on it.
“Woooooow. A limo? Thank you Janeth” She whispered.
She went to the man.
“Hi” she greeted
“Hello ma’am.” He said and turned away but turned back swiftly again, then asked
“Yea yea. That’s me” she said unable to hide her excitement.
She was thinking.
If a limo picked her up it only means she was rich.
“Janeth must have gone a long way to
make it happen”
“Oh! I’m sorry ma’am. Please get in.” he said opening the door
He got in and drove off.
Chloe had to admit..the place was pretty amazing. It looked nice.
“Where exactly are you driving me to?” She sked
“uummm. Manila ma’am. That’s where your house is.”
She sat back and decided to enjoy the
Few mins later they arrived.
Chloe came down from the limo.
She was stunned at how beautiful the house is
“uumm, young man. Are you sure this is the house?”
“Yes. I am very sure. Abad Santos Avenue.” He replied
“Okay then. Thank you.”
He helped Chloe take her things inside and left.
Immediaty he left, Chloe screamed and ran around the house.
It was magnificent and beautiful.
She located the bedroom and jumped on the bed.
She suddenly became gloomy remembering the moment she shared with her sis.
They always played on their bed together till it was messed up.
If someone had told her they would be
seperated like this some day she wouldn’t have believed it.
she laid on the bed and sleep slowly crept in
He sat in his room in the hospital he had been kept.
They took him there after his brother died.
He got up and paced around the room.
They called him crazy. He wasn’t crazy. She hurt him and he was going to make her pay. He was going to look for a way to escape. He will kill her.
No one hurts him and goes free. Not with the gravity of what she did.
“You will pay.” He screamed scattering his room .
The noise attracted the security, who called the nurses.
They came in and after alot of struggle, sedated him
“She will pay” he said as he drifted to sleep
“Please don’t. Stop it you’ll kill her.” she
said as she struggled to free Rosie from him but he hit and hard and she fell.
He brought Rosie’s head to the substance…
“Noooooooooooooo” she screamed
Chloe woke up sweating. She must have fallen asleep.
Why did she have that dream? It happened 7 years ago. She should have forgotten about it.
Tears rolled down her face unconsciously.
She brought out a picture from her wallet.
She smiled as she looked at it.
“I love you Rosie. I always will” she said carressing the picture.
She suddenly stood up, wiped her face and kept the picture.
She promised herself not to think of the past.
She picked up her phone and saw 14 missed calls from Janeth.
“Holy smokes. I gotta call her back”
